Amphenol RF 031-10 versus TE Connectivity 5227726-2:

Functional alternative to Amphenol RF 031-10 (also written 31-10). DigiKey lists this exact part as a Direct substitute. Manufacturer evidence: standard BNC straight female isolated solder jack, 50 ohm, 4 GHz and -55 to +85 C. TE drawing 5227726 revision B1 (20 September 2024) covers this exact suffix; center-contact finish is silver. The small mounting-diameter difference is expressly accepted for this functional cross: TE recommends 9.80+0.13/0 mm versus original 9.7028–9.779 mm. IMPORTANT PANEL LIMITS: TE specifies 0.8–3.6 mm panel thickness, versus original maximum 4.7498 mm; unsuitable for panels thicker than 3.6 mm. TE D-flat recommendation is 8.41+0.10/0 mm versus original 8.763–8.9154 mm. Verify secure clamping, anti-rotation, panel isolation and clearance on the existing panel using TE-specified mounting hardware. These are qualified functional alternatives, not guaranteed dimensional drop-ins. TE zinc body/PBT dielectric and contact finish differ from the original nickel-plated brass/PPO and silver contact. Exact working-voltage equivalence has not been established; check the current manufacturer specification against the application. Follow TE assembly/drawing requirements.
